  • 1 14-18 lb. Turkey

Special Tools

Directions

  1. First, follow the directions included in the Pit Boss Turkey Bucket Brine Kit to make your brine.
  1. Then, carefully place your turkey into the brine, assuring it’s fully submerged in the solution, and refrigerate according to kit directions.
  1. Next, remove the turkey from the brine and dry thoroughly.
  1. Use the provided rub to season the outside of the turkey, making sure to completely cover the whole turkey.
  1. Once your turkey is seasoned, preheat your Pit Boss to 300°F.
  1. Next, set the turkey in a roasting pan and place it on the upper rack of your grill. Note: if there is no room for your turkey on the upper rack, reduce heat to 275°F, and place away from the heat source (to the left or to the right of the flame broiler).
  1. Place a temperature probe in the thickest part of the turkey breast, about an inch away from the breastbone, and allow the turkey to roast until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Note: rotate every 45 minutes to an hour to ensure even cooking and color.
  1. Finally, once your turkey reaches the correct internal temperature, remove the turkey from the grill and allow it to rest for a half an hour before carving.
  1. Serve with your favorite Thanksgiving sides, and enjoy!
