Here's a quick griddle breakfast recipe that's delicious and comes together in just minutes. Made with ingredients you most-likely have in the pantry, you're already prepped to make this at your next breakfast or brunch occasion.

In this French Toast recipe, we paired thick slices of Italian bread, dunked in a classic batter of egg, vanilla, and milk, and topped with mixed berries, whipped cream, and syrup. Is your mouth watering? Ours too! It's time to get the griddle fired up so you can try it for yourself!

Ingredients

  • 3 whole Italian bread loafs, sliced 1.5" thick
  • 10 oz. whole milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 lb. mixed frozen berries, defrosted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream
  • Agave syrup
  • Melted Butter

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add berries, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and set aside.
  1. In a separate mixing bowl, mix eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to make the batter for your French toast.
  1. Preheat your flat top gas griddle to medium heat. Add butter to melt.
  1. Dip each piece of bread in your prepared batter. Make sure to coat both sides of the bread evenly before placing on the buttered griddle.
  1. Flip each piece of bread every 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown on each side.
  1. On a large platter, shingle the finished toast and top with mixed berries, whipped cream, and syrup before serving. Enjoy!
