Just like your favorite takeout dish, this Chinese BBQ Pork Tenderloin is filled with irresistible sweet and tangy flavors. Also known as Char Siu, this pork tenderloin is marinated in an Asian-style sauce then grilled and basted as it cooks. Ingredients

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 lbs Pork Tenderloin, Trimmed with Silver Skins Removed
  • 1 tbsp Sugar, Granulated
  • 1/4 Cup Tamari
  • 1/4 cup White Wine

Special Tools

  • Glass Measuring Cup
  • Grill-safe Pan

  • Resealable plastic bag

Directions

  1. In a glass measuring cup, whisk together the hoisin sauce, tamari, wine, garlic, sugar, and Pit Boss Sweet Rib Rub.
  1. Place pork tenderloin in a resealable bag, then pour the marinade over the pork and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours.
  1. Fire up your Pit Boss pellet grill on SMOKE mode and let it run with lid open for 10 minutes then preheat to 400°F. If using a gas or charcoal grill, preheat to medium-high heat.
  1. Remove the pork from the marinade, then pour the marinade into a grill-safe pan.
  1. Place the marinade on the grill and bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Add the BBQ sauce and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the grill, and set aside.

  1. Remove the pork from the grill and allow it to rest on a cutting board for 10 minutes, prior to serving warm with additional sauce.
