Competition Barbecuer Erica Blaire Places in World Competition Using Pit Boss Grills


Pit Boss grill owners know they have the ability to create competition quality barbecue in their backyards. However, Pit Boss pitmaster Erica Blaire has proved this to be true on the world stage.


The award-winning BBQ competitor claimed her spot in the top five at the Memphis in May BBQ World Championships using Pit Boss products.

Blaire fired up her PBK24 and Pro Series 1600 Elite to grill and smoke her way to fourth place in both the ribs and beef categories.


She fueled up with Pit Boss hardwood pellets, including the Apple, Charcoal, and Competition Blends. In addition, Blaire seasoned her food to perfection with the Pit Boss Sweet Heat Rub throughout the weekend.


"I'm so grateful to be able to bring this victory to the Pit Boss Nation,” Blaire said. “I had so much confidence walking into this championship competition because I believed in myself, my team, and most importantly my grill! We fought through severe weather conditions and had an hours long park evacuation, but I didn't panic because I knew I could use the SmokeIt app to monitor my team's cook and hold our temperature steady!"


Blaire, an accomplished lawyer and sommelier from Ohio, is behind the barbecue digital series “The Pit Stop” and has competed with the female-led barbecue team “Blue Smoke Blaire.” She also claimed the title of Master of ‘Cue in season 2 of the Food Network’s “BBQ Brawl.”
