Pit Boss 7-SERIES WOOD PELLET VERTICAL SMOKER Overview

Innovation meets the outdoors with Pit Boss’ all new 7 Series Vertical Pellet Smoker. Never before has smoking been this versatile. The double walled insulation lets you smoke from 150°F to temperatures reaching 450°F, unlike any other smoker on the market today. The large front window eliminates the need for peek-a-boo cooking and its elevated frame makes transferring your meal from the smoker to the table a breeze. With the PB 7 Series Pellet Smoker there is no need to fret about cooking lengths – its 60 pound plus hopper allows you to cook for up to 24 hours! Its sleek design is not only unique, it is also functional. The PB 7 Series Pellet Smoker features 2,059 square inches of porcelain coated cooking racks, locking caster wheels, an easy to read digital controller and a notable hammer tone copper finish. The multiple position racking system ensures you’ll have enough room to smoke anything your heart (or stomach) desires. Experience how Pit Boss is redefining the smoker industry in your own backyard!

Pros: Capacity! We had about 100 pounds (6 big briskets) and it was not a tight fit. Efficient heating. We added 40 pounds of Pit Boss competition pellets in and used maybe 20 pounds on a 22 hour cook. The price. Compare a Treager Texas that we have and can only put 2 big briskets in at once and it's twice the cost!

Cons: The major con I think is the way the drippings are handled by the smoker. The majority is caught by the 'water tray' and cannot get to the 'drip pan'. The drippings that made it to the bottom of the smoker in back didn't get to the drip pan because of the fine 'dust' from the pellets so ended up causing a fire almost to the end of the cook (which we were on top of and put out right away). We just need to be aware of this and plan for a way to get rid of the drippings on the long cooks. The only other con, and this is minor is the rollers are not made for a very long journey so just go slow or park your rig closer
