Classic Burger Dog: In this recipe, we took inspiration from Classic American Cheeseburgers! We paired traditional ground beef with American cheese, relish, ketchup, and mustard — You can never go wrong with a classic flavor combination! 

Southwest Burger Dog: For this combo, we paired a chorizo burger dog with fresh pico de gallo, chipotle mayo, and queso fresco. You don't want to miss out on this southwest-inspired recipe! Get the Griddle fired up and try it yourself!

Turkey Cheddar Dog: This refreshing take on a classic burger dog uses ground turkey, cheddar cheese, mayo, and avocado to satisfy your ultimate craving.

Ingredients

  • 9 hot dog buns
  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. beef chorizo
  • 3/4 lb. ground turkey
  • 3 slices American cheese
  • 2 oz queso fresco
  • 3 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Chopped pickles or dill pickle relish
  • 6 tbsp pico de gallo
  • 3 oz. mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Directions

  1. First, using a burger dog mold, form your beef, chorizo, or turkey into the classic burger dog shape.
  1. Preheat your Pit Boss Griddle to medium-low heat.
  1. Season your burger dogs with salt & pepper and sear on both sides until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F
  1. Remove the cooked burger dogs from your griddle and place into hot dog buns of your choice.
  1. Classic Toppings: Top your beef dogs with ketchup, mustard and pickle relish.
  1. Southwest Toppings: Top your chorizo dogs with pico de gallo, chipotle mayo, and plenty of queso fresco
  1. Turkey Burger Toppings: Top your turkey dogs with sliced avocado, mayo, and shredded cheese
