Directions
- Divide your ground beef into 6 4oz. portions. Shape them into even sized balls.
- Preheat your gas griddle to medium-high heat.
- Add butter to your griddle and sauté your mushrooms for 3-4 minutes. Add your sliced onions and sauté for another 3-4 minutes or until the mushrooms and onions are soft.
- Remove the mushrooms and onions from the griddle and set aside.
- Evenly space your ground beef portions onto the griddle.
- Using a burger press, smash each beef portion until they are 1/4 inch thick and season with simple spices. We used Pit Boss GSP Rub, the perfect blend of garlic, salt, and pepper.
- After 3-4 minutes, flip each patty and top with 2 slices of cheese each.
- Divide your mushroom and onion mixture evenly between each patty and then remove from the griddle.
- Wipe your griddle surface, add some butter and toast the hamburger buns on the griddle top.
- Assemble your burgers and serve hot!
