Craving authentic Carne Asada street tacos? Throw a skirt steak on a Pit Boss Grill and let the smoky flavors take you back to your favorite time at Taco Tuesday. This recipe is easy to prepare and will serve you and three of your friends while you hang out and crack wise.
Carne Asada literally means grilled meat in Spanish. A typical Carne Asada dish contains either a flank or skirt steak that has been marinated in lime, salt, and other seasonings. The meat is then grilled and is usually sliced or chopped to serve in a taco, burrito, nachos, or on its own with sides of rice and beans.
Place the steak, lime juice, garlic powder, salt and pepper into a large resealable bag, distribute the marinade evenly, and refrigerate for 3-12 hours.
Note: It is recommended to use Mesquite Hardwood Pellets with this recipe.
Remember to slice your skirt steak against the grain for optimal tenderness.
