These Sizzlin' Shotgun Shells will be a hit at your next Backyard BBQ, Family Get-Together, or Tailgate. In this recipe, Manicotti Shells are loaded with Johnsonville Sausage  and Cheddar Cheese, then wrapped in bacon, and fired off on the Pit Boss. Trust us, this is a snack you don't want to miss.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Bacon
  • Manicotti Pasta shells

  • Piping bag

Directions

  1. Preheat you Pit Boss Grill to 350 °F
  1. While your grill is heating up, remove the sausage from its casing, and add it to a mixing bowl.
  1. Then, mix the sausage, cheese, and milk together and spoon into a piping bag.
  1. Next, fill the pasta shells with sausage mixture, ensuring the whole pasta shell is completely full. Then, wrap the stuffed pasta shell in strips of bacon, covering all sides.
  1. Once your shotgun shells are wrapped in bacon, place them on the bottom grate of your Pit Boss with the sear plate closed. Rotate every 4-6 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  1. Finally, brush on your favorite BBQ sauce and cook for another 10 minutes.
  1. Remove from the smoker and enjoy!
