Traditional Green Bean Casserole

Everyone's holiday spread looks different, but you're unlikely to find many Thanksgiving tables that don't feature this time-honored classic. Green Bean Casserole may have popped onto the holiday entertaining scene decades ago for its convenience, but this easy and inexpensive dish has since earned itself a place on most holiday menus. This classic side dish is easy to throw together ahead of time and pop into the grill to bake before serving — no oven necessary.

Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 6 cans green beans
  • 1 container crispy fried onions

Directions

  • Preheat your Pit Boss grill or smoker to 300°F
  • In a large bowl, mix the chicken soup, mushroom soup, and green beans together.
  • Then place the mixture in an oven-safe casserole dish and cover with film and foil.
  • Place the dish on the top rack of your grill and bake for 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes, remove your casserole from the grill and rest for 10 minutes covered.
  • Finally, uncover your casserole and top with fried onions.
  • Enjoy with friends and family!
