Fire up the grill and throw down these Hot Honey Chipotle Chicken Wings for your next Game Day celebration! These crispy and delicious wings are so easy to make, and even easier to take down with your crew.

Smoking your chicken wings on the Pit Boss will add an unmatched wood-fired flavor that will keep you coming back for more. Plus, cranking up the heat and finishing the wings over an open sear plate will make the skin crispy and delicious, just how we like it!

Season with Hot Honey Chipotle rub for the perfect combination of sweet and spicy flavors!

Ingredients

  • Chicken wings
  • Baking powder
  • Pit Boss Hot Honey Chipotle Rub

Tools

  • Wire Rack
  • Ziploc Bag

Directions

  • Preheat your Pit Boss grill to 250°F
  • (Optional) Place wings on a wire rack and leave in the fridge overnight to draw out any moisture.
  • Dry your wings out as much as possible by dabbing with a paper towel.
  • Place the wings in a Ziploc bag, and add baking powder (1/2 a teaspoon for every 12 wings) and your seasoning of choice. We recommend the Pit Boss Hot Honey Chipotle Rub.
  • Shake the bag to coat the wings as evenly as possible.
  • Place the wings back on the wire rack, and apply an even layer of seasoning to all wings.
  • Place the wings in your preheated grill, and cook for 45 minutes, flipping every 15 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  • After 45 minutes, increase your smoker's temperature to 400°F, and move the wings over the sear plate to finish cooking and crisp up the skin.
  • Remove from the smoker, serve hot, and enjoy!
