Ingredients
Spare ribs
Pit Boss BBQ rub of choice
Pit Boss BBQ sauce of choice
Butter
Honey
Apple Juice (for spritzing)
Directions
Every great cook starts with high-quality pellets and for this recipe, we recommend our Classic Blend. Fuel up and preheat your pellet grill to 300°F.
Trim your ribs to remove excess fat that may prevent your ribs from cooking evenly.
Next, remove the rib membrane using a butter knife or the Pit Boss rib membrane remover tool. Once your ribs are trimmed and the membrane is removed, season your ribs with your favorite BBQ rub on all sides.
Then, place your ribs meat side up on the bottom grates of your Pit Boss. We recommend placing your ribs on the far left side of the grill for best results. Once you have your ribs on the grill, cook for 1 1/2-2 hours, spritzing with apple juice every 30 minutes.
After about 2 hours, wrap the ribs in foil with apple juice, brown sugar, and honey. Then, place your wrapped ribs back onto the Pit Boss and cook for another hour.
Finally, remove your ribs from the foil, sauce them, and place them back onto the Pit Boss for about 15 minutes. Remove your ribs from the Pit Boss and allow them to rest for about 15 minutes before slicing in!
