  • 30 minutes Cook Time

Wings are always a good idea — especially when they're coated with a sesame ginger sauce and topped with a wasabi drizzle. This Ginger Wasabi Chicken Wing recipe is the perfect appetizer or addition to a game day spread. With a bit of wood-fired flavor from the Pit Boss, these sweet and spicy wings are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

🌶Can't handle the heat? Make the spice level your own with less (or more, if you're feeling spicy) wasabi drizzle and chili flakes.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 16 oz. canola oil or neutral oil of choice
  • 12 whole wings or 24 wing sections
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3/4 cup Wasabi powder

Directions

  • In a blender, add ginger, rice vinegar, whole egg, sesame oil, and salt. Blend on low and slowly increase the speed to high.
  • Slowly add the oil to the blender until fully incorporated. Set 6 oz aside and place the rest into a mixing bowl with your wings. Allow wings to marinate for at least an hour and a half or up to 12 hours. Note: Cover and refrigerate for the entire duration of the marinating process.
  • Preheat your Pit Boss grill to 350°F
  • Place your marinated wings on the bottom rack and rotate every few minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove wings from the grill and place on platter.
  • Top with remaining ginger sauce and wasabi drizzle. To make the wasabi drizzle, combine 1 cup of water with 3/4 cup wasabi powder.
  • Optional garnishes: sliced green onions, chili flakes, sesame seeds and soy sauce.
  • Enjoy!
