  • 45 Minutes Cook Time

Meet your next charcuterie obsession: the Classic Backyard Barbecue Board. You'll need brats, baked beans, chips, and buns for your base. Then you can assemble your board with all your favorite condiments and toppings. This board will be a welcome addition to your next cookout, tailgate, or holiday gathering!

Ingredients

  • 3 Johnsonville Beddar Cheddar Brats
  • 3 Johnsonville Original Brats
  • 1 Can Bush’s Brown Sugar Hickory and Bourbon Grilling Beans
  • Pit Boss GSP Rub
  • Hot dog buns (6 pack)
  • Potato chips (2 types)
  • Pickled red onion
  • Jalapenos (pickled)
  • White onion
  • 3 avocados
  • 1 Lemon
  • Pit Boss Smoked Salt & Pepper Rub
  • Cole slaw mix
  • Cole slaw dressing
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Mayo

Directions

  • Start up the smoker and set to 250°F. (For those using a Pit Boss Champion Barrell Smoker, set the adjustable valve to MIN air flow. Move the intake pipe cap to leave a quarter inch gap.)
  • Put the Johnsonville Original Brats and Beddar Cheddar Brats into the smoker to cook for about 35 to 45 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  • Pour the Bush’s Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans into a cast iron and place the dish into the smoker to warm up. These can go in around the same time as the brats.
  • While the brats and beans cook, deseed and peel the avocados. In a bowl, mix the avocado, lemon juice, and Pit Boss Smoked Salt and Pepper.
  • In another bowl, toss the coleslaw dressing with the coleslaw mix until combined.
  • Chop the onions and set aside.
  • Lay out some butcher paper or a large serving platter and assemble all the pieces by arranging the brats, beans, buns, condiments, toppings, and chips as you like. If using a serving dish, transfer the beans to a bowl to serve.
  • Once your board is arranged how you like it, dig in and enjoy!
