Family dinner just isn't the same without a smoked spiral ham on the table. Made with a homemade apple cider and honey mustard glaze, this spiral ham recipe is perfectly sweet, smoky, and cider-y, and is best served with friends and family during your next holiday meal.

Pro tip: For accurate internal temperature tracking, insert a meat probe into the thickest part of the ham without touching any of the bone.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard
  • 1/4 cup habanero honey mustard, optional
  • 1 pre-cooked spiral cut ham

Directions

  • To make the glaze, add sugar, cider, and vinegar to a small pot and heat until sugar is dissolved over medium heat.
  • Remove from heat, whisk in mustards, and set aside.
  • Preheat pellet grill or smoker to 275°F
  • Unwrap the ham and place in a shallow roasting pan.
  • Add 1/2 of your homemade glaze to the ham, making sure to cover the whole ham and place the pan on an upper rack of the grill.
  • Using a spoon or brush, baste the ham every 20 minutes with excess glaze from the pan until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F, about 5 hours.
  • Serve immediately.
