Meet the Mom Bosses of Pit Boss. Really cool moms who work hard, play hard, and love to grill. They share what it means to be a Mom Boss for their family, how grilling has helped them win the meal, and tips for dads to give the moms in their life a bossin’ Mother's Day.
A Mom Boss means being able to multi-task while going above and beyond to be present and engaged in the things that interest my favorite little buddy.
Being able to grill a meal is great because it brings our family together! While our meal is cooking on the grill, my son and I are able to talk about all the things that are important to him like baseball, Fortnite, and his day. Most of all, we can just enjoy each other and our time spent together.
Breakfast in bed is great, but for me personally, an awesome Mother’s Day would consist of getting to relax or go shopping, while being free from handling all the cooking and cleaning. You know, enjoying a total day off with genuine lounging and relaxation.
Being present in each moment. If I’m at work, I’m focusing on making an impact. If I’m at home, I’m enjoying the kids. I honestly have a lot fun and I genuinely try to make every day a new adventure. And if I stay focused on enjoying where I am, and the craziness that surrounds it, I’m my happiest!
Weekday grilling! I absolutely love gathering the kids outside and cooking dinner together after work. We get to relax, kids get to play, and I am not constantly saying “Hey, get out of the kitchen and go play!” No waiting until the weekend to get that special together time and I love that. It’s also been a lifesaver for meal prep.
Appreciation! Tell her she’s a great mom! It sounds simple, but above a spa day (hint hint hint) it’s nice to feel appreciated. And handmade cards. Every mom loves a handmade card.
Being a Mom Boss means being able to multi-task and plan like a Queen. Between soccer practice, swim lesson, church and work, there’s never enough time in the day. Multi-tasking and planning ahead can save your day, no matter what’s being thrown at you.
Meal prep is my favorite thing to do. I’m able to get entire meals done on the grill, all while the kids are at practice or working on homework. I can get a week’s worth of cooking done without heating up my house and keeping it all outside. Less mess = less stress!
Moms want a break. Take over the stress of meal prep, kid prep, and chores. That one day of extra sleep and no worries about getting things done can go a long way for a mom. For Mother’s Day, give mom the rest and relaxation she needs.
I’m a fierce mom boss because I love providing for my family. Being a busy mom that works away from home, like myself or if you’re a mom that stays at home with the kids or even a single mom…. we hear you! Life is hectic but spending time together to enjoy a good meal is all that matters.
Grilling is a great way for our family to get creative with recipes and have a homemade meal that cook up quickly. It’s awesome because everyone gets what they want, exactly how they want it!
My advice for the dad bosses out there would be to celebrate the special women in their lives on not only on Mother’s Day, but any day! Make a unique meal that comes from the heart, so your wife, your girlfriend, your mother or any other boss lady doesn’t have to cook on her special day off! Trust me, they will appreciate the time you thought to prepare it all! Pro tip: if you really want extra points, grill it on PB or LG pellet smoker, you can’t go wrong!
