Cooking Instructions

These delicious Spicy Ribs will be a hit at your next backyard barbecue! Sweet, smoky, and just enough heat to bring you back for more, these St. Louis Style Ribs are sure to please any crowd! Make sure you make extra—they won’t last long!

  1. Remove the ribs from their packaging, drain, and pat dry. Using a paper towel, grip the membrane on the back of the ribs and pull off. Discard the membrane and paper towel.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, olive oil, honey, BBQ sauce, and chiles in adobo. Using a basting brush, brush the front and back of the ribs generously with the BBQ mixture. Save the basting brush for later along with half of the sauce.
  3. Generously season the ribs with Sweet Heat rub, making sure to focus especially on the front of the ribs.
  4. Fire up your Pit Boss and set the temperature to 225°F. If you’re using a gas or charcoal grill, set it up for low heat. Place the ribs on the grill and smoke at 225°F for 4-6 hours making sure to baste in the sauce every 2 hours.
  5. Remove from the grill and serve with additional barbecue sauce.
