1/2 tbsp Black Pepper

1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1/2 tbsp Coriander, Ground

1/2 tbsp Granulated Garlic

1 package, approx 4 lbs Honeysuckle White® Turkey Drumsticks

1 tbsp Kosher Salt

2 tbsp Olive Oil



Cooking Instructions


Large and in charge, these theme park style Dry-Rubbed Turkey Drumsticks are rich, flavorful and easy to make right at home! Honeysuckle White® Turkey Legs are rubbed in a sweet and savory coating of brown sugar, cayenne, garlic and coriander then smoked low and slow. With moist, tender turkey on the inside and crisp, golden skin, your friends and family would happily wait in line and pay for these drumsticks. This is the perfect Thanksgiving recipe for those who don't want to cook a whole turkey, but still want the protein to be represented at dinner time.

Wood Pellet Recommendation 

The blend of cherry, apple, and maple hardwoods make our Fruitwood Pellets the perfect choice for the sweet and tart flavors the Thanksgiving season is known for.

  1. Fire up your Pit Boss pellet grill on SMOKE mode and let it run with lid open for 10 minutes then preheat to 225°F. If using a gas or charcoal grill, set it up for low, indirect heat.
  2. Place Honeysuckle White® Turkey Legs on a sheet tray, coat with olive oil, then season with a blend of salt pepper, cayenne, brown sugar, granulated garlic, and ground coriander.
  3. Place turkey legs in the smoking cabinet and smoke for 1 ½ hours, checking the internal temperature after 1 hour.
  4. Increase the temperature to 325°F, transfer the turkey legs to the bottom grill grate and cook for another 25 to 30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 170°F.
  5. Remove turkey drumsticks from the grill, allow to rest for 10 minutes, then serve warm.
