Cooking Instructions

There’s nothing better in the summer than a delicious rack of St. Louis Style Ribs. These tasty treats come from the Carolinas and make you feel like a Southern pit master . Be sure to serve these juicy and tangy mustard ribs with extra napkins—you’ll need them!

  1. Make the sauce for the ribs. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of the yellow mustard, cider vinegar, dark brown sugar, honey, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and 1 tablespoon of the Sweet Rib Rub. Mix well to combine and set in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  2. Make the ribs. Using a paper towel, peel the membrane off of the backs of the rib racks and discard. Generously coat the ribs in a thin coat of mustard, and sprinkle all over with Sweet Rib Rub.
  3. Fire up your Pit Boss grill and set the temperature to 275F. If you're using a gas or charcoal grill set it up for low, indirect heat. Place the ribs meaty-side up and grill for 2-3 hours. Once the ribs have grilled for 2-3 hours, fill a spray bottle with 2 cups of apple juice and spray the ribs to keep them moist. Continue to grill the ribs, spraying every 45 minutes, until the meat bends slightly at the ends when lifted and is a deep mahogany color, about another 2-3 hours.
  4. Remove the ribs from the grill and brush with mustard sauce, then slice and serve immediately.
