Chocolate? No thanks. A true barbecuing Pit Boss knows that sweet satisfaction can only come from this meat candy classic. Chop up this decadent candied bacon and serve on top of ice cream or brownies for the ultimate sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pack Bacon, Thick Cut
  • 1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

Special Tools

  • Deep dish or pan

Directions

  1. Place the bacon in a deep dish. Add the maple syrup, cover and refrigerate 2-3 hours or overnight.
  1. Start your Grill on ''smoke'' with the lid open until a fire is established in the burn pot (3-7 minutes). Preheat to 225°F.
  1. When the grill has preheated, place the bacon directly on the cooking grids and sprinkle with brown sugar and our Limited Edition Pit Boss Pecan Maple Walnut Rub. Check every 15-20. After 30 minutes, flip and rotate bacon and baste with syrup. Allow to hot smoked for another 20-30 minutes or until the bacon is done to your desired liking.
  1. Allow to cool on a rack and serve.
  1. Can be refrigerated in an airtight container.
